Third State

 It began in 1824 (1240 H), when Imam Turki Ibn Abdullah captured the city of Riyadh, liberating the entire Najd from the armies of Mohammed Ali Pasha. This period lasted for 75 years, during which time nine princes assumed power.

 

1. Prince Mishari Ibn Saud Al Kabeer 1819 - 1819 (1235 - 1235 H).
2. Imam Turki Ibn Abdullah (first time) 1819 - 1820 (1235 - 1236 H).
3. Imam Turki Ibn Abdullah (second time) 1824 - 1833 (1240 - 1249 H).
4. Imam Faisal Ibn Turki (first time) 1834 - 1838 (1250 - 1254 H).
5. Imam Khaled Ibn Saud 1838 - 1841 (1254 - 1257 H).
6. Imam Abdullah Ibn Thunayyan 1841 - 1843 (1257 - 1259 H).
7. Imam Faisal Ibn Turki (second time) 1843 - 1865 (1259 - 1282 H).
8. Imam Abdullah Ibn Faisal 1865 - 1869 (1282 - 1286 H)
9. Imam Abdul Rahman Al Faisal 1889 - 1891 (1307 - 1309 H).

The Second Saudi State ended when Mohammed Ibn Rasheed, the Emir of Hayel, captured and annexed Riyadh; Imam Abdul Rahman and the Saudi family were exiled to Kuwait.
